Got pulled over in my BRZ for the first time yesterday

58 in a 40, car registered in someone else's name, no front plate, expired safety inspection...

"You've got a pretty clean driving record and I don't want to f*ck that up for you. Get it fixed and slow down"

 Cool cops FTW

I'll be getting it registered and inspected this week. Doubt I'll bother with the front plate, my jeep never had one and he didn't even mention it.

Isn't this the BRZ general forum? Thought this was for general discussion about anything BRZ related. My apologies if it's in the wrong place.

I always thought threads in the Off-topic section discussed nothing related to the main theme of the given forum. <---- Shows how much I've read the forum rules:):):)

Why are you doing 20 over the limit in a car that isn't properly registered or inspected? Lol.

Alltezza 02-22-2015 05:01 PM

Do you guys have to have front plates in TX and CA?

yes and yes, otherwise he would not mention it.

I haven't bothered to put a front plate on my FR-S, and it's been that way for 7 months now. No one's said anything to me.

Nice

I didn't notice the inspection was expired and previous owner's bank took over a month to mail me the title. As for the speeding.. it's a back road with no traffic and its easy to lose track of your speed.

All that aside, yes it was stupid and it's probably good that I got a wake up call.

Sooooo........I don't see any mention of SLOWING DOWN.
Please slow down, for Narnia.

JB86'd 02-22-2015 08:00 PM

way to go, I'm sure you were respectful to the cop as well considering he let you off with a warning. There are cool cops out there.
I've passed cops doing 20+ over the speed limit a few times in this car and haven't been pulled over, I have no idea how but I'm done testing my luck!

x1UP 02-22-2015 08:16 PM

At least you were polite about it. I suggest slowing down next time. It's deadly going those speeds with a speed limit..

I felt obligated to stay within 5mph of the speed limit for the rest of the day I was so thankful. I'll try to keep it under control.
