Tein s techs
Hi, i just bought some tein s techs for my 14' frs. i was wondering with a 1.5 inch drop will i need a camber kit or bolt to get an alignment? What are the biggest size wheel i would be able to run went i eventually get some? 17s or 18s? also is this video a good way to put new springs in? or should i be getting spring compressors? i dont want to mess anything up.

Having done the Tein STechs myself, if I remember correctly, you only need the spring compressors to remove the stock springs. However, if you use the technique from the video, you won't need them. I'm not endorsing the video, but I'm saying it can be done this way. And if you do, just take it easy and slow and don't skip out on any steps that are stressed in the video. I would also look up other spring installs in the DIY section to learn a few more tips like tightening down the suspension bolts when the suspension is loaded. Stuff like that.
As for wheel size, that's not what matters. It's the offset of the wheel and tire width. Look that info up in the wheel/tire section. Decide what you want and look it up. Oh, and if you do get spring compressors from AutoZone or wherever, get the ones on the right. Not the left.... Hope this helps a little... http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u...ressors001.jpg |
