How loud is the n1 exhaust? ( in db)

Would anyone know the exact db number

I don't want any legal problems for being "overly loud"

Seriously, though. IT'S LOUD. It's a race exhaust. What measurement do you want? at 10,000rpm? at 1 foot? at 2 feet? Go listen to videos on youtube.

Depends on what's forward of your cat-back of course, but I have Tomei UEL headers, stock overpipe/front pipe, and Invidia N1 cat-back and it's not loud at all to me. (I'm 43 but not deaf yet. ;) )

Here's a video from mine...all sound is recorded straight from the car...start is with microphone mounted on the license plate, then interior, then roadside fly-by at the end.

Cops don't carry decibel meters with them. If you get a ticket and want to fight it, you will need to go to a referee, which you need to PAY to have it tested. If you fail, you have to pay the ticket and the referee. You need to do this EVERY TIME a cop gives you a exhaust ticket, even if you passed the first time.
Don't get a race exhaust if you don't want fines. N1 is a race exhaust. I think it is loud. Some people don't.

I was running a Borla catback awhile back and Borla measured their catback as 92 db. My good friend was running a N1 catback (stock everything else) and her exhaust was SIGNIFICANTLY louder than my Borla catback. I have no doubts the the N1 is above 95 db or at very least around that level - close enough for a cop to give you a ticket for it. It would be on you to prove (and pay) that your exhaust is below the limit.

If you're worried about breaking the sound limit/getting a ticket, stay away from the N1.

All that being said, I've never heard of anybody actually getting a ticket for sound levels unless they were driving like an ass, revving, disturbing the peace, etc.

I run it without the silencers and although it's loud on the track (for obvious reasons), it's perfectly suitable for city driving (starts getting noisey around 3000RPM) but not obnoxious at all! Don't worry about it!

All preference I have the invidia N1 running without silencers with a invidia test pipe and it isnt that loud for me, haven't been hassled by any cops or anything.
