Looking for a more upscale look on the inside of you 86? Kevin walks you through the arm rest install. :)

I know a few people have already done this. It's a great addition to the car. Wish we could get them from the factory like this in the USA.

I love how sturdy it looks, and the quality looks very good. However, I'm not sure how comfortable I am with drilling into my center console.

its a great item. one issue is that it open outwards so if you wanna use cupholders your passenger is kind of SOL here.

Measure twice, cut once. I usually measure more than that though...

If it helps, all the center consoles are the same across models (even the special editions use the same part) so replacements would be easy to come by.

IDK having done this mod myself in less than 20min, WITHOUT instructions or a template. I'd consider this pretty much fool proof... and no regrets. Just being able to store stuff in the center console without the car looking like crap alone sold me.

group buy?

I have this in my FR-S, install wasn't bad. Took about 30-45 minutes, half the time was spent being extra cautious due to worrying about drilling into the console. Even if you misplace a hole, it gets covered in the end. I think it's a great addition.

I think I'd prefer a sliding arm rest instead of something hinged like this.
