Spoiler help

Hello,
I want the exact same spoiler in the picture in the link below:http://www.ft86club.com/forums/attac...5&d=1322426572
However, every one i find on ebay is for the Scion FRS or Subaru BRZ, i email them asking if this is compatible with my 2015 Toyota GT86 and they reply with a plain no.. Is it really not compatible? I mean essentially they are the same vehicles.. Thoughts?
This is the spoiler i have my eyes on:

Would it fit on my 2015 GT86?

I dont see why it wouldnt fit, and the seller probably doesnt want to risk it, by saying yes it does and then send it to you and have to process a return when it doesnt fit etc......

That wing comes on the 2014 GTS as standard in South Africa

I'm pretty sure it will fit. It's the same trunk on all versions.

Aren't there like pre-drilled holes on the vehicle which might create some sort of an issue?
I receive my car next week which is why i'm unsure

No reason why it shouldn't fit.

I'd buy from somebody else. If the seller is seriously saying no, they're either sketchy or seriously stupid and have no idea what they're talking about/selling.

For $85 though, it'll probably fit like shit anyways

If yours doesn't have a spoiler on it already, then no, it there aren't any holes.

At least in the US, that's the same spoiler that comes on the BRZ. If you can't get it from your Toyota dealer, you can probably get if from a Subaru dealer, or even online. You won't have to worry about fitment issues plus it'll come prepainted.

Thank you all so much, really appreciate it

It will fit. I thought the GT86 had the spoiler standard though.

Get alot of double sided 3mm adhesive tape and it'll fit haha

Yalsaket 02-20-2015 01:48 AM

It is a standard, not in my country though..

The reason it wont "fit" is because on the limited BRZ the trunk has holes to fasten this OE spoiler. It will fit on a standard bare trunk lid with 3M tape. Would just have to cut off the tabs that fit through the trunk lid. A lot of BRZ limited owners just find FRS or GT86 owner to swap trunk lids with for exchange of a bare lid without holes to do an aero upgrade where the holes would be seen otherwise. If there are BRZ limited cars in your area, you might get lucky to find someone that wants to trade for free. Like I'm doing right now with a local FRS owner. All the paint codes are identical between branding.
