I've wondered about this myself. I would paint everything and leave parts of or edges of the vents unpainted.

I like the stealthier look. A full unpainted carbon hood just sticks out too much, doesnt look like it belongs.

if anyone read my post, wet carbon hoods weight close to OEM hoods, roughly 1 lb less. the weight of the paint would make it the same as an OEM hood weight, probably would have been cheaper to make vents in the original hood anyway if the goal was heat management.

Then again, if you do paint it; leave a CF trim around the vents to give it some sport of stealthy accent.

Yes, I bought the hood simply for heat management. It is also aesthetically appealing too.
