2013 FireSuperStorm
Hi, this is my budget build 2013 Firestorm 6-speed supercharged Scion FR-S. The goals behind this car are based around keeping it reliable for daily driving and within my modest budget. Most parts I am sourcing through local Phoenix, AZ forum members and vendors. Pictures are posted chronologically below.
http://i.imgur.com/UGGhILI.jpg?1 Video walk around Engine: Sprintex 210 supercharger Raceseng 70mm pulley Magnaflow catback exhaust Mishimoto oil cooler EcuTek, tuned by Moto-East E85 fueled Suspension/Wheels: Motegi MR125 17x7.5 wheels (16.3 lbs) Kumho Ecsta ATS 225x45 tires Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs Eibach front and rear adjustable sway bars Exterior: Subaru BRZ trunk/spoiler 30% tint Blacked out headlights (asphalt gray paint) VHT Niteshades tinted taillights Plastidip emblems Custom FRSC emblem from Toyota Kensen 6000K HID headlight conversion Interior: Escort SmartRadar History: Purchased new on June 16, 2014, about a week before my dealer was getting 2015s delivered. Bought for $21,5xx + tax. I sold my 2007 350Z and 2011 ZX6-R to fund this purchase. http://i.imgur.com/lAJs9yX.jpg First mods were to remove FRS and dealer emblems, plastidip the Scion badge, and VHT Niteshades the taillights. http://i.imgur.com/DnqFQZn.jpg I then found a local forum member who was wanting to swap his BRZ trunk lid for one without a spoiler. I find the BRZ spoiler much nicer than the Scion option. http://i.imgur.com/e87j6hD.jpg There's quite a few speed/red-light cameras in my area, so this Escort SmartRadar unit is of help. Full database of camera locations, plus live alerts, etc. Same internals as the 9500ix, too. http://i.imgur.com/PIkNrOb.jpg At an AZ86 tech day I received some help with blacking out the headlight housings with FRS Asphalt paint. It was the perfect color choice and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Thanks @jeffsides for the assistance. http://i.imgur.com/ZgPqixB.jpg Another local had Motegi MR125 17x7.5s for sale. These weigh 16.3 lbs, so it was a nice upgrade. I initially put my Primacy tires on, but two flats later, I went with the marginally better Kumho Ecsta ATS 225x45x17 tires. http://i.imgur.com/ph7r6gT.jpg http://i.imgur.com/RN0H07d.jpg As usual, my next purchase was from a local. This time a guy was selling the Eibach Pro Plus Kit springs and sway bars. http://i.imgur.com/R2jPKsw.jpg http://i.imgur.com/LVs3oC1.jpg http://i.imgur.com/N1hFoXH.jpg Next up is a used Manzo/M2 catback exhaust I got on the cheap, which will be a good hold over until I can source something nicer. This is a little loud for my liking. http://i.imgur.com/Zb7SU4B.jpg Next up on the list? Ordered a Sprintex 210 supercharger, which will be delivered and installed soon. Longer term? Flex fuel, UEL header, and new exhaust. LCAs may come in soon to adjust camber a bit better on the back. |

Installed a second-hand Magnaflow exhaust. Fitment is perfect and the sound is very quiet, which is exactly what I was wanting after having my Manzo exhaust for few long months.
