Help !! Wrong Anti freeze D':

Today I was hanging out with one of my friends and we had a little car meet. I open my trunk and one of my friends notice a bottle of anti freeze I had in there. He ask if I use it on the frs I said "yea ". He took the bottle and threw it. He scream at me " wth man that's not the right anti freeze" So tomorrow I'm going to the dealer to get the right one and flush out the other one out. I heard it wont damage it since its new the car and did it once. I'm worried now and want your in put on this guys!! will it damage my coolant ,engine, etc ??? its was green btw:(

antifreeze is antifreeze AFAIK

If your engine is not running hot, there are no issues. Your friend is an idiot, probably. or me.

Did you have the green bottle anti-freeze?

I think that one is made out of gremlin piss.

Not a problem unless you flushed the whole system and changed it all. If just a top up of a quart or so I wouldn't even worry about changing it.

the only thing a coolant mixture (antifreeze + water) does is get pumped around a series a metal tubes in order to transfer heat. The coolant does not interact with any moving parts besides a pump. If your car is not overheating, it's fine. no more questions.

There is the recommended type but it won't hurt anything if mixed a bit.

I use the PreStone Anti freeze coolant one, I don't have any problems with it at all. You shouldn't have any issues.
