I just got these Smoked Taillights on Ebay! Blinkers All Messed Up! HELP!

So I got these tail lights off ebay about a week ago from the seller "Beyond Revolution". They sell a lot of other lights for other cars too.

I simply swapped them with the OEM in the installation, as they seemed to be "Plug and Play"… However, when I turn on my car, the lights seem to be all wrong. See pictures for explanation. How can I fix it to where I have the specific parts of the taillight light up according to what I *thought* it'd be like?
Will it come down to me rewiring any of the colored wires in that little connector? I'm kinda new to lights, so please instruct me slowly!
Also, my third brake light at the bottom has ceased to work.. Could this be because I installed these lights? My FR-S is brand new.

Picture 2 of the tail light shows when the car is just running. As you can see, the little crescent is what lights up. But this, I think, should be the brake light. The thick white part (or bar) should be what should remain lit.

Picture 3 of the tail light shows when my car comes to a stop. As you can see, the amber "backwards L" line lights up. This, I think, should be my turn signal. The little crescent should be what should light up when I stop.

Picture 4 of the tail light shows when I turn my blinker. As you can see, the thick white part (or bar) is what lights up in red (it flickers rapidly too, I should mention). This, I think, should be my normal light and should stay on as I drive. The little amber "backwards L" line should be what blinks when I use my turn signal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated my fellow Scion experts!

I'm not much of any help, but what do you mean by "Picture 3 of the tail light shows when my car comes to a stop"? Do you mean that when you hit the brakes the amber light light up? If so, the lights are wired wrong. I can't think of any country that has amber brake lights.

get a multi-meter and disconnect one wire at a time and go from there. process of trial and error. how much were they?

Exactly! When I brake, those two little L-shaped amber lights light up… And those are supposed to be my turn signals!

What does a multi-meter do?

The lights were $215.

Google is your friend.
It's a meter that reads electrical signals, volts, ohms(resistance), continuity, etc. Put the leads inside one of the connections and the other on the ground and go through brake/lights on/turn signals and write it down. Figure out what does what, and put each wire in the right place.

... if you don't know what a multimeter is, re-wiring might be over your head.

I would try to find someone who in knowldgable about that stuff to help you and guide you along. It's really not that hard, but then again, you could break something.

You know, if you bought these from a U.S. seller, you should check out their return policy and contact them. If the lights are wired wrong then they are defective and you should get your money back.
