I'm not sure man but when I was ready to buy my BRZ I had to look EVERYWHERE for a blue one. There were no new ones available so evntually found a demo in Bloemfontein @ Subaru.

Will keep a look out

86 is cheaper ... Very much the same car without the garish silver dashboard and gumguard front bumper! :bonk: (And sadly without the locally manufactured BRZ exhaust ) - easily attainable :D

Though the BRZ is rarity value but I'm not sure (in my humble opinion) it's worth the extra $ in RSA especially considering the limited dealer network to uphold the maintenance plan.

Another thing to consider is that in SA Subarus have terrible resale value. Why I don't know, because in the USA they have one of the best resale values. Anyway, for me it's a no-brainer - get an 86. It's the same car, it's cheaper, and it'll hold it's value much better being a Toyota.

I know all that, yet I still have 2 Subarus, and I knew all that when I bought them. The Subaru brand does have serious niche appeal, but sadly the true-blue Scoobie boys don't really accept the BRZ as of them because it's well - not AWD and not really a Scoobie.

Whatever. Choose what your heart tells you to. :)
They're both amazing cars.

I know that our Toyota in Kimberley has/had (don't know if it's been sold yet) a pearl white 86 with the full trd kit on. Test drove it before I bought and it was soooo awsome. They advertise on gumtree if you are interested.

Yep, it's still in the market.
