money of All my mods = name of item(s) of equal value

Wednesday night I got together with some buddies from the local owners club, and we were trying to guess who had done the most mods to their car from our club. and what they could've bought for the same money for their car+mods.

The point of this thread is not to brag how much you spend but what other "sensible"/"responsible" thing you could've bought. No need to give specific numbers.

For the money I spent on my mods I could've bought:

1) furniture for my house,
2) new kitchen appliances.

The ones who seem most pissed off about my decision are my parents.

I could have paid for 2/3 of my car when it was new with how far I am into the mods now.

Good thing I am way ahead on paying the car off too.

I struggle with other activities. I'd like to upgrade my paintball marker, but am building up snowboard supplies. I'd like to invest in car parts, but bought an AR-15. I am now, finally, saving up for car parts.

Close to a years rent :sigh:

Not counting what came on the car from the dealer I have spent about $1.75 so far!

Plasti Dip and winter wheels/tires- $550
Exhaust - $300
Tint - $140
Clear Markers - $50
Weighted Shift Knob - $40

Not that much actually. But I paid for the car with cash, so I can't complain.

May spend more this summer.

too much stuff.....

Really dont even want to try to add all of the stuff up, will just make me think too much about how I spent too much...

I've spent about $10k on this car so far. I could have bought an above ground pool full of cheese puffs for that money.

I think I've spent about $2000 aftermarket on my BRZ, which is $2000 that could have gone into my Jeep instead. That would have paid for the front half of my lift, or maybe my slip yoke eliminator and axles. My Jeep build is budgeted out on spreadsheets at $22,000. I'm about $10K in at this point. When I'm done, it'll be worth about $15K on a good day. I'm an accountant. I must be crazy.

The BRZ will just have to wait its turn. I'm hoping that by the time I retire it from being my daily driver in 3 years or so, someone will have developed a wicked NA kit for it. THEN I'll spend some money.

I think I'm close to $4k. Probably should have invested that into the principal balance of the car, but the APR is so low, I didn't. I haven't bought anything for it in a long time though. I honestly feel it is pretty much my perfect DD now, or better said, is how I wish it was offered.
There's only two things I really feel I "need", lower control arms to correct rear camber (reign it back in to -1.0 or -1.5, it changed to -2.0/-2.4 when I put the springs on) and a new front pipe with a high-flow cat to get the most potential out of my tune.

Just $720 in gas at moment, car came with strut brace when i bough it

I love the part where my future company already agreed to pay for Becker and the CPA exam costs
