Good to have a dashcam

The intersection of Questhaven road and San Elijo Road in San Marcos, CA has community park where people are parking on both sides of the street. The street has a hill where cars coming down are going at a high rate of speed and cannot see that only 1 car can drive between cars on both sides of the road. An individual had their rear door open to traffic and I had to go around. If I didn't honk at a speeding SUV, it would have been a head-on collision. One side of the street needs to be a red zone. If it were darker out, it would have been even worse. I sent the vid to the association and community site.
I uploaded a video from my car dashcam to at the link below:

OK, so last Saturday I was in a minor accident in the Hot Lava and I think this would have convinced the officer that the lady was at fault. Where do you get them? and how do they work?

I've owned a couple brands and suggest you consider a capacitor based power supply to avoid heat issues. You can hardwire to run continuously while parked if desired. The newest models double as GoPro clones at 70% discount.

Thanks.
I have an appointment set up for the 19th to have my auto started installed,, I will have to see if the shop has them and the cost. Again for the time when some ass hits you is worth every penny.

Your dashcam is horribly aimed. Less sky. Seriously point it down to the point where you get a tiny bit of the hood. Also it's slanted.

1/10 dashcaming

I don't see anything wrong with the way he's aiming his dash cam. It looks fine to me and I can clearly see what's going on

This is serious dashcam users only business, no amateurs here move along

Maybe you could have explained to me as to why he needs to readjust his aim. From what I'm seeing it looks fine. I don't know if you're trolling or if you're just being an ass.

Lol it's just aimed too high. What are you expecting to see that high in the air? Plane crashes?

It is much more beneficial to have it look down more than he has it, it also just looks better.

Also he has a slant like I said, which is mostly just annoying.

I have a B40 ( https://dashcamtalk.com/b40-a118/ ). It has sound, and works quite well. It's easy to install; it comes with a cable and lighter adapter that you can plug into the receptacle behind the glove compartment.

Here's a video of mine with a bus cutting me off at the 1:30 mark: [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mPaauuyShQ"]Durham School Services bus cuts me off. - YouTube[/ame]

Note that the video from the device is much better than that shown; Youtube really compresses the video.

@Krazy I have this action camera. Yea it's got built in sound recording. I've had it for about a month now. Very happy with the results so far. As another poster mentioned, this can be modified to run with a capacitor instead of a battery (to avoid overheating in hot weather).

The camera was bought for $88.30 from the official website. Additionally I bought the 16gb micro SD card from amazon for $12 bucks and a windshield suction mount for $4.50 from eBay.

Name etc;
Mobius action camera- WIDE ANGLE option (lens b) with newer battery ~820mamp I think vs the older ~500 mamp.

Here are some video samples ;(select 1080p in YouTube)

(Mounted with rubber bands and Velcro to the sun visor here... windshield mount hadn't arrived yet).
