Another hit and run...

I parked my car in front of my house last night and noticed that some idiot hit my bumper between evening and this morning. It's sad that there is so much space in the spot behind me and my bumper still gets crushed.

San Francisco drivers....avoid at all cost!

Pics of damage?

It's pathetic enough that they hit a parked car, even more imbecilic that they think they can just drive away and act like it didn't happen. They're probably dirt poor and drive a shitmobile already covered in dents and scratches from their deplorable driving.

I've always thought that it would be impossible to maintain a nice car in SF... everywhere you look cars have damaged bumpers, fenders etc. People just don't take care when they drive/park, and I don't think it's even about being poor... people just avoid taking responsibility for their actions unless they are caught. That is why I don't live in SF and rarely drive my "nice" cars into SF. We have a "beater" that we take when we go to risky areas.

Same... beater car is essential. And it's no surprise that these things were invented:

When I open the trunk lid the creased up bumper is noticeable. The right side is scratched past the paint into the plastic.

Or the more extreme solution: "bumper spikes"

Damn that sucks :(

Everyday single day I go out of my way to park in spots where I only have one car next to me or my car is all by itself and yet I still get bumped !

SF is where new cars go to die T__T

i also live in SF, its really crazy.....i also hate it

I just moved from Lakeview in SF, new cars = target for break ins so I regularly would go outside for a smoke late at night to void off anyone. Luckily living on a hill means no traffic and the only people who park are those who live on the hill.

Yeah... I'm very careful driving and parking around "the city". I actually avoid parking in certain neighborhoods of the city. LOL. Oh, and I avoid parking under trees as well.

Sorry to hear that. I would make a report online just in case someone steps forward and reports it.
