Quick question, I would like to "upgrade" the wheels and tires on my 86.

I've been considering sticking with the stock size (17x7 +48) or also possibly the spec that the BRZ 'sti' rims come in (17x7.5 +48). I was considering these sizes/offsets because they would still be factory spec, just lighter.

The rims I really like are the Enkei pf01's. There is an option for a +38 offset which I would like because it would eliminate some of the 'suck' without getting into 'poke' territory.

Now here's the question, I have had a slight vibration issue coming from the rear end since I got the car. The dealer is aware and it's been documented. Would the dealer/Subaru of America be likely to make issue of the non factory spec offset should that vibration worsen?

Thanks in advance.

First off, I went with this same wheel/spec and after almost 1 year, I love them. Here's a post I made with pics...let me know if you have any questions about my wheels/setup.

As to the question of the dealer making issues...I don't know for sure, but I would doubt it. If you've already brought the issue to their attention, I would go ahead and ask them if new wheels would be an issue. Wondering if your rear wheels have been re-balanced to see if that affects the vibration?

Yup. No change. If you search for my posts you'll see the whole story.

Just checked the link, your pics are the reason I had decided on those rims. I saw that post a while back and thought that it looked like the best all around set up. I plan on staying on the stock suspension as well
