Rock Chip Repair Recommendations

So I figure its about time to address my rock chips since I saw some surface rust building on them.

Can anyone recommended the best way to take care of these chips? I had a shop quote me $700 to fix them all by doing the whole panels.

I was looking for more of a ~$100 fix.

Any methods, products, or recommendations?

If you are feeling really helpful, here is a link to some more detailed pics of the chips.

For ones that small just grab a prep pen sander a touch up paint marker and fix em up. You may still be able to find them but nobody else will know. Loads of How Too Videos on Youtube.
I have done it so much I am getting pretty good at it.

1. You're using a penny on tails = Instant bad luck

2. To get rid of corrosion, you'll have to sand the area and apply primer, then base layer.

Or just spend $10...

Wet sand them down and apply touchup.

@Tcoat

Thanks for the info.

Purchased that sanding pen + some touch up pens from automotivetouchup.

I also picked up some Bondo 907 for the dent/chip in the hood. I probably wont use it unless it left a gash.

Going to save this project for next weekend, I will post results once its finished.

Got it all for under $100 too.

Do the most inconspicuous for your first try as there is a learning curve involved. Once you have done a few you can make them almost invisible. The secret is don't sand back any further then you have to and keep the are small and the edges tapered.

I got one of those color matched felt tipped pens. If you don't drive from the dealership directly to a place to get a clear bra the paint is pretty much screwed. Best to just accept it.

That is exactly what I did. These chips are on the few places without a clear bra or punctured through. After I fix them I plan to get the covered with Xpel.

They have ball point, felt, brush, and spray options.

It's all about technique too. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xi3xmeO6C4"]Paint Chip Touch-up -- /DRIVE CLEAN - YouTube[/ame]
Watch this video, he has so much attention to detail.

I'd personally go with Langka. Dr. Colorchips's paint doesn't match as well as the factory touch up paint.
