I'm watching now. Poland scored not long ago.

^ Already? I got Poland so all is fine then in my bracket.

ichitaka05 06-08-2012 01:53 PM

I need to watch it... but I've been busy cheering Japan in Asia Cup lol

Dramatic opening game to say the least. Awesome way to start the Euros.

M-17 06-08-2012 04:33 PM

Based off this it sounded like a good game, even if Poland came away with only 1 point.

Quote:

Man of the Match: Dimitrios Salpingidis. With Greece trailing 1-0 and down to ten-men the substitute forward was thrown into the fray at half-time and turned the game on its head. The busy PAOK Salonika striker proved a constant problem for the previously untroubled Polish defence. He scored the equaliser, was fouled for the penalty that skipper Giorgos Karagounis missed and had another goal ruled out for a marginal offside decision. He'll start the next game.
Too bad I'm missing all the action. :(

 I can't believe I missed both matches today because of summer class.

Soccer (futbol) is so much fun to watch. The whole world/country gets into it. Except America and Canada. :l

lol

yeah i've been watching it. glad i don't have to suffer the gaps in between friendlies now that the EPL season and CL is over.

between germany and spain i'm not sure who will win, neither team has met my expectations after the opening round but things will likely change as the competition progresses and the players have consecutive matches and practice.

this plus the olympics makes for a fun summer.

M-17 06-12-2012 02:04 PM

So yeah I pretty much wasted my whole lunch break just to watch the first 25-30 minutes of the Czech Republic and Greece match. Greece is way too stiff in the back and doesn't show much energy going to or creating space for the ball. This is why the Czech Republic scored so fast in like 5 minutes.

And Shevchenko was my favorite player back when he used to play for AC Milan so I was glad to here he helped put in two goals for the Ukraine's win yesterday.
