Exhaust Tips for 2013/2014 Stock Exhaust Pipes
 

Due to the exhaust pipe diameter, 2 1/8", there's not a lot of choices for upgrading the puny 2013/2014 stock exhaust tips.

From cheap to expensive there's the Chinese made DC Sport tips that can be found at various auto part stores. There's also a black version of these.

I purchased a pair of these for <$30. with a coupon code. Find coupon codes for Advance Auto here: http://www.retailmenot.com/view/advanceautoparts.com Order online, pickup at store. They are 9" long and I found that for me they stuck out too far. When I tried to push them back an inch or two I could not get them centered with the 3 bolts. Sold them on Craig's list for $30. If you don't mind them sticking out a few inches from the bumper then get them. Construction is not bad and they have a resonator which I don't know if it changes the exhaust sound or not since I never installed them. Maybe someone here that has them can answer that.

Next cheapest, and these are the ones I currently have, are the 2015 OEM exhaust tips, part #SU003-05273. They have a 4 1/4" outside diameter, are 5" long, secure to the tail pipe with 1 recessed bolt, and do not stick out beyond the bumper. Before ordering these I checked with a local Scion dealer who had a few 2015 FR-S in stock to make sure that they would fit my 2013. They do.

I also ordered the sliding OEM arm rest, part #PT478-18130, from them for $156.80. Shipping for all parts was $17.40 UPS ground. Even with the snow in MA it only took 4 days for delivery.
The tips don't come with bolts, for the price they should. Luckily the bolts on my stock tips were in good shape and fit the new tips. I coated them with high temp silicon grease before installation. I have no plans to change out the stock exhaust.

Only slightly more expensive than the 2015 OEM tips in total price are the JDM tips. Cheapest price I have found, so far, is $146./pair shipped on eBay. These look almost identical to the 2015 FR-S tips but are 8" long, so they are going to stick out a bit. Price would be decent if shipping was not so high. Is there a customs charge on these too??

From pics construction looks very good, 4" outer diameter, 6.25" long, and a 5 year warranty. It uses a clamp to attach it to the exhaust pipe, to those who have these, is the clamp visible from the back?

These exhaust tips should of came on the 2013 models.

Still waiting for D-shaped TRD-like exhaust tips. haha.

The funny thing is, in Australia you can't give away your stock Cat back which comes with the larger tips.

I have a 2015 FRS but those pics you posted don't look the the 2015 OEM tips that I have.

still looks tiny so i ordered new exhaust tips from amazon....the DC Sports one....thanks for posting 2015 pics.

@RickyBobby did the 2015+ exhaust tip screw holes line up with the existing dimples which the bolts press against on your stock exhaust? I have JDM tips and from what I remember when I feed the bolts through to tighten down they don't exactly line up against the USDM dimples.
