Selling my '14 BRZ...
2014 Subaru BRZ Ltd – Dark Grey Metallic - 6MT– 8,500 Miles (never beaten, dyno’d or raced) 2 Yrs/ 28K miles left on warranty (minus the warranty-voiding supercharger mod – LOL). Purchased 02/14 $ 32,500.00 REDUCED - $30,000 $28,500- This is the LOWEST I'm willing to go on this. $10K in mods plus all OEM takeoffs. This is lower than the price on Autotrader - http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...92777646&Log=0 I'll take the $1K hit to see it go to a BRZ enthusiast. This is for the ENTIRE CAR - with ALL LISTED PARTS INSTALLED. PLEASE DO NOT ASK for individual parts - I will not be "parting" this car out. Innovate Motorsports Supercharger - INTERCOOLER Raceseng 70mm Pulley Delicious Tune Tune (includes ECUTek interface and license) Perrin Crank Pulley AirRaid Intake & Filter Kartboy Short Shift Kit – Shifter Bushing – Trans Mount Bushing Motul Gear 300 – trans and rear end Dimple Magnetic Drain Plugs – Oil, Trans & Diff Invidia Q300 Exhaust – Burnt Titanium Tips Invidia Cat-less Front Pipe With Resonator Grimmspeed Hood Dampers Enkei VR5 HyperBlack 17X8 – Michelin Pilot SS XL 245/40-ZR17’s (1,000 miles on new rubber) Valenti Rear Taillights (Black/Orange) Valenti Backup/Bumper Light (Red/Red) Tap Turn Programmable Flasher Relay w/Strobe Diode Dynamics 4300K HID Fog Lamps (replacement glass buckets in box) All Running/Brake/Signal/Interior Lights upgraded to LED P3Cars VDI Vent Gauge Blinder 905C Laser Jammer System – 2 head (front) – remote install All OEM takeoff parts (exhaust, wheels, intake, etc.) in-hand. There's probably a thing or two I've forgotten, but all the major mods are covered above. This is my second car - and a TOTAL IMPULSE PURCHASE. Rather have the $$ in the bank, than sitting in my garage depreciating while I pay insurance on it. Car has been garage kept since purchase. Never been out ofSouth Florida (no snow, salt, etc.) Car has been driven sparingly the last few months while I consider getting rid of it - didn't want to run up any more miles. Slight damage to underside of front spoiler (like none of us hasn't hit a parking stopper). Again - asking $32,500 - have clean title in-hand. Only thing missing is a suspension setup. No takers? No interest?
Price too high? Rick |

It has some nice mods and looks great, but you will never get more than what the car goes for new. Any details on who installed the parts? Dyno? That may also help with the sale. Best of luck with the sale. |

This was $28,500 sticker price, and even with depreciation - you can't price a car with a $6K Supercharger and all the other mods (about $10K in all) for what NADA used price for a car WITHOUT MODS would be. I guess this is why guys "part out" their mods and just dump the car bone-stock. I'm really not interested in spending the $$ to get all the mods reversed (taken off), despite the fact I have all the OEM parts in hand. Like I said - it's not about not "taking a beating", I expect to NOT get out, what I put in. But to price a nicely mod'd car at the same price as one that's bone stock - is also pretty ridiculous. Supercharger install was done at a local shop - Wales Garage. He's not a BRZ specialist - he does mainly WRX's. I was the "second pair of hands" on the install. I'm no stranger to twisting a wrench myself - but I wanted to do this in a SHOP, in case I ran into any snags. Rick |
First luv the car. But plugging into car gurus looks like 22-23k falls in good/great deal range. Mods are always wild card. Having title in hand certainly helps.
Seems like people are unloading these like nobodies business. Glws |
This was an "impulse buy" for me - saw one drive by me, and HAD TO HAVE ONE. I had the blower on it while it still had the paper tag. Roots style blower really makes the difference in how the car responds. Turbo's and Pro-Chargers are cool - but every car I've put a blower on, has been a "twin screw" - nothing compares.
The laser jammer alone is $700 - much less a set of new Wheels and Pilot SS's. This is not going out at "pawn stars" prices. I am willing to negotiate - but don't come at me with a number for a bone-stock car - I'm just not that desperate yet. |

I mean you no disrespect, and don't second guess the car for a second, but thats my advice, you need to drop the price to around 23k (with or without mods) because that's where your car sells right now. I wish you the best of luck and have no doubt the future owner is going to love the power. Its a great SC kit and something I wish I had on my car. |
For as long as I can remember, I've been told that mods don't add value to a car, and you shouldn't expect to get extra for them, you should only expect that it will help the car sell quicker.
Nobody in their right mind will pay that much more for a used 2014 car than it cost for a brand new 2015, mods or not, so you are probably going to have a hard time getting rid of it for 30k+. If you want to get the most money, your best bet is to part out the mods and return it to stock. I'm sure you could sell those parts on here pretty easily. |
Best of luck, clean car, tastefully modded, but IMO you'll be lucky to get $27,000 for it; $25-26k would be a fair asking price. Take a look at what's on the market right now for comparison; modded FI cars going for $25-$26k with low miles, same mileage cars with no to little mods going for $20-$22k. Just some honest feedback, but GLWS.

If I were you I'd definitely part it. If you don't want to - 28k is the most you get IMO. GLWS!

Reduced again...
Don't want to go the the time and expense of having the mods removed - and then haggle to sell the mods off. Rick |
TTT...
So what's it going to take to get off this? Aside from removing mods and selling them separately - don't want to spend the $$ to reverse them, or the time and aggravation to haggle over each individual part. Nor will I sell the mod'd car at KBB prices. I'm willing to talk lower than the current number - but not a whole helluva lot lower. I'm "motivated" - not DESPERATE. Rick |
Car sold for $25K to a local buyer.
Wanted to hold out for at least $27K. But since no one was even contacting from CL, Trader or the Forum - I just wanted to get off it. Back on my motorcycle again. I was a nice ride - but a total impulse buy, and impractical for my needs. Rick |
