E85 Locations + Percentages -- Chicagoland Area

I believe we should have a thread that is kept up to date by Chicagoland area members that includes locations with E85 and the percentage.

BP | 4111 North Mannheim Road, Schiller Park, IL 60176
2 E85 Pumps | Test Date: 1/26/2015
E76%

Thorntons | 55 Skokie Valley Rd Lake-Cook Rd Highland Park, IL 60035
1 E85 Pump | Test Date: 1/15/2015
E73%

1 E85 Pump | Test Date: 3/2/2015
E75%

1 E85 Pump | Test Date : 4/14/2015
E78 - E80% Used a Test Kit not ECA Guage, Looked awfully close to 80%

Shell | Main & McCormick
1 E85 Pump | Test Date : 4/14/2015
E70%

Shell | Howard & McCormick
1 E85 Pump | Test Date : 4/14/2015
E72%
I will continue to test whenever I see E85 at stations, however if you have any stations you like to add, please comment and I will add it.

I will periodically be revisiting the stations, because the E % changes between winter and summer blend.

I will contribute to this thread. I usually hit up that same Thorntons and also the Citgo on Greenwood and Dempster in Niles.

While those sites are great at finding E85 locations they do not include the Ethanol Content %. Those percentages can change from month to month or season by season. Early last year shell gas stations had the highest quality, often being closer to E90, now theyve dropped to less than E60 most of the time.

Very true, I didn't see that portion last night, my bad. That percentage does change all the time, I imagine its gonna take a concerted collective effort to keep it up to date.

sickmint79 04-17-2015 03:35 PM

how do you test this?

#maverick# 04-17-2015 09:33 PM

@sickmint79 most of the time with an E85 tester as such http://www.summitracing.com/parts/qf...FQwDaQodQSwAUg

However, my buddy has a flex fuel ECA with a guage in his evo so we wait until the tank is near empty and fill up drive for 20 miles than use the measurement. Soon I will also have a flex fuel kit in my car
