“Maximum Attack” Scion FR-S
Nice!
http://www.torquenews.com/1084/maxim...ppearance-sema "This was a tuners dream, to take a stock Scion FR-S Release Series 1.0, $15,000 and have 90 days to turn it into something special for the SEMA Show. Speedhunters was the winner of the challenge and won $10,000 for their efforts. They customized everything on the car and came up with their Cosworth-supercharged, ‘70s IMSA-inspired FR-S" http://www.torquenews.com/sites/defa...eedhunters.jpg |
It still looks so so so so much better without the front fixed pane of glass forward of the side windows and the livery is just about perfect. Still not suprised at all that they won.
|
So they took a limited edition version of the FR-S and removed everything that made it limited edition. Why didn't they just start with a base model?

What are the big metal-lined holes in the trunk lid?

There was a shop installing a rear turbo on a BRZ and I thought those holes in the trunk would be a cool place to route the wastegate(s). Then configure a small ethanol injector in the wastegate exit that you can actuate with a button. Then you could scorch the front bumper of tailgaters :happyanim: |
i'm not sure why they marketed them as rs 1.0's, but they definitely didn't look like them when they were delivered to each builder. all three look like base frs' to me. you can see in the title image and the video here...
http://www.speedhunters.com/2014/09/...-months-reveal this is what the speedhunters one started as... http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/01/...e-build-part-1 |
Good, that would have been retarded to hack away at a Series 1 even if it looks like ass

I want those wheels in 17x8. 17x9 works, too.
