quick help on first time OFT
 

Hey guys I have a quick question,

I am ready to write the tuning files into the car. I want to install stage 1.

The file I am seeing if Stg1 B01C.bin is this the correct one? or is there a new updated one? I bought eh OFT used.

Go to OpenFlashTablet.com and download most recent OTS tunes. You will hook up and the OFT will save your current OEM firmware. Verify against the OEM firmware version as to what the flash file to use from the OFT OTS zip you downloaded.

what's the difference between the OTS v1_59.zip and OTS v2.063.zip files?

there is a changelog in .txt form enclosed in the zip file. always use the most recent one / highest number.

Since you are using a used OFT, the first thing you should do is make sure it is unmarried(divorced?) from the last car it was on. Then plug it into your car and go through initial setup to download your stock rom. Disconnect from your car, connect to your computer, make sure it's connected to the internet, and run open flash manager. The file Stg1 B01C.bin is only correct if your rom is a B01C type, and if you're using the 2.06 version, and have a catted or stock header.

The 2.0 OFT is the latest updated tunes. Biggest change seems to be better cam phasing. I have not tried them out yet.
