LOOKING for a WHITE GTS (Manual)
 

Hi All,

First and foremost, its nearing the official release date of the 86. Im sure all of you are just as excited as I am for this car. Been a long time waiting.. anyway to the point of this thread.

My dealer is working actively to see if any dealers out there are getting a white GTS in manual but i thought i'd check on forums if anyone who has pre-ordered a white GTS in manual would like another colour/grade and is willing to swap.

I'm looking for a White GTS in manual and was hoping if anyone out there from VICTORIA has one pre-ordered is willing to swap (through dealership of course) for either:

1. BLACK GTS (manual)
2. GREY GTS (manual) or
3. WHITE GT (manual)

I can find out what other colors/trim/transmission my dealer is getting if anyone is interested.

I initially ordered a white GT in manual prior to price release however now that the price has surprised all of us and myself i've changed my mind and want the GTS.

If anyone out there from VICTORIA is willing to do a swap please let me know/pm me. We can exchange numbers and speak to each others' dealerships and go from there.

Why cant the dealer just put you on the list for a GTS? I ordered mine 3 days ago and they told me id have it by the end of the year. Is that unlikely? They really had NFI as to when I might get one but they didnt want to give me the impression it would be soon (i.e. within the next month or two).

If you are who i think you are, i am still trying!

I have a white GTS manual with aero kit on order its ETA is 14/07/2012

I am prepared to sell it for $50k if you are keen :)

How did you get an aero kit? I was told they couldnt do options yet as they didnt have any pricing or info.

Hahaha cause I am the biggest Toyota Fan around and I worked for Toyota for 5 years and my friend is a Toyota Stock Controller :)

Your local dealer wants to take orders for cars allocated to them from Toyota not on cars you want to order as they take a lot longer for confirmation of building.

They certainly didnt try to sell me any type of car. I said I want a GTS manual in white. They said 4 months. Although i did have another dealer call and offer me a black manual GTS.

Ok well when a new model comes out from Toyota the dealer doesn't get a say what cars come to them on the first run from Toyota. Their dealership size and previous sales determines how many vehicles they will get allocated to them. After the initial cars run out, they will place as many orders as they like each month but definitely aren't guaranteed to get them built. Toyota will only allow 1500 approx cars for this year so there is a limited supply and large waits guaranteed.

Oh I see, thanks for clarifying. The dealership I ordered through is one of the smaller ones in Adelaide but by the same token I think they'd only taken orders on three cars when I placed my order so with a little bit of luck i'll get one this year.

Yeah from what Im lead to believe there has been about 500+ orders already placed Australia wide on these cars

I was told 1000 but I think that's dealer pressure. They wouldnt let me leave until I signed haha. I'm glad I did though, who knows how long I would have procrastinated for.

I think your no. of 500 is more accurate (i hope haha).

Yeah well mine is on the way and Ive already invested in some TRD goodies for mine they are on the way
