first time poster; long time lurker
i stumbled upon this exhaust set up on fastscions.com for about $380. definitely the cheapest dual exit cat back out there with claims of 15Hp gain. my main question would be does anyone have this exhaust? is it a true 2.5in inner diameter? http://www.specdtuning.com/mfcat2-frs12t-sd.html http://www.fastscions.com/spec-d-cat...13---2015.aspx |
I have this exhaust on my BRZ. Paid $240 for it from Carid.com
It still goes for that price there. It sounds fantastic w/ or w/o the silencers. As for HP gains, I can't verify anything other than butt dyno. EDIT: I will say that the fitment is very slightly off. By that I mean that the right hangs about 1/2" lower than the right as looking at it from the rear of the car. |
15hp gain on the butt dyno for sure. Any aftermarket exhaust will do that. The only exhaust part that will net you 15whp is the header. This wont get anything, just for sound.

Silencers are still attached in these photos.

-total weight -inner and outer pipe diameters I'm planning on going uel headers and FI some day |
How does it sound? Do you have a YouTube drive by video??
|
I will take a video of it today of how it sounds.

It looks like an Invidia N1 knockoff to me. $380 or $240 or whatever you guys are paying is NOTHING for a catback, beware.
