Looking for advise on buying the frs
Hello everyone, I have decided my next car is going to be the frs. I'm the type of person that is picky about the interior. After looking at the scion website I found that I'm only interested in the monogram series (hid, dual climate control, heated side mirrors). My question is since the monogram series is limited and has been released for some time already, is it possible to still order one? If that's not an option, can I add those options on the new 2015 frs? Because I don't see them listed as available accessories on the website. Thanks in advance.

2. Nope, unfortunately you cant add any of that stuff as options. Your alternative is to go for the BRZ instead. Limited trim has all of the interior features of the Monogram series. |
Agree, the easiest method would be to go BRZ limited. I searched around a bit in my area for a monogram model to no avail before ultimately splurging on a RS 1.0 model.

Buy a BRZ lol.
You get better headlights, and a better interior. And hey you have the Subaru Blue color option over that orange FRS color that Toyota offers. And you probably won't find a monogram. So you'll be stuck with a basic FRS with no push to start no heated seats, no HIDs. And other stuff I don't feel like naming. Just get the BRZ they cost the same as an FRS at least in my area anyways so why not go for it. If you don't like Subaru then just rebadge it or something. |
There are monograms to be had and since they have been around a while you may get a deal. May take some looking and travel but they are out there.

Euro spec comes with all that stuff as standard.
Electric folding/heated mirrors. HID self levelling headlights w/ washers. Daylight running lights. Push button start / Keyless entry. *Leather heated seats are an option though. Chatcam alarm (though I think this is a UK mandatory 'option' to make it insurable). Might be costly to import one. Also it has the extended 86mm protruding exhaust exits that are unapproved in the US for production cars. |
You didn't mention where you are located... but since your location is listed as "United States"... there's 61 monograms listed on cars.com:

It's tough to keep up with all the different versions since it looks like scion and subaru are releasing their own special models each year (rs 1.0 and series.blue/Aozora). Someone had a spreadsheet with the differences, but I don't think it's been updated in awhile: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...5&postcount=32 |
