Sexy.. But it's still a Ford..

i agree, sexy. Would never buy a new stang though they depreciate incredibly fast and everyone and their mothers has one (seriously my mom used to drive a 05 gt).

Depreciation :iono:

Is that a key factor when you buy a sports car?

I like the new stangs. I would be all over the new Shelby's if I had the cash.

Gonna have to disagree with this depreciation statement. A decent Mustang from the late 90s to 04 still go for 11-14k from the dealers... Decent 05-10's still go for 22+. For a decent terminator your looking at 23k, and that is private party.

This Roush looks good... Doesn't seem to offer anything besides a different look and collectivity, but its still cool.

And I'll have to disagree with that statement. Around here (in Mississippi) Mustangs are pretty much more popular than any other vehicle. I can usually count about 50 on my 4 mile commute to work. They're always for sale. 90s-04 GTs are always sub $10k. Usually much much less (I often see them for $6-7k and V6s for $3kish). The 05-10s are way below $20k and the V6s are usually sub $10k. The only stangs from 90s-04 that hangs around the $20s are 03/04 Cobras. Even the N/A Cobras are still just above $10k.

They definitely do not hold their value around here.

I like the Mustang look, but I hate the fact that every other car on the street is a Mustang.

BioRage 06-08-2012 01:54 PM

I Honestly don't see many mustangs in Toronto at least, They are popular, cheap for what you get.

I see a ton of ford fiesta's however.

And most mustangs I see are GT's.

Umm... Nobody in this thread is "hating." The one person that said something negative said the car looks good but he wouldn't buy it because it doesn't hold its value and they're way too common.

I'd also never buy a Mustang because they're way too common. Ford has been giving you a lot of car for your money in the last couple years with the Mustang though. If I didn't see like 30 of them every single week, I'd be a lot more interested in them.

370z's, Civci Si's, STI's, G37's, GTIs, MS3's etc etc. All Great cars are common. Soon the FRS/BRZ will be in the same category as a "common car". But I guess it's different strokes for different folks.....

It all depends on what part of the country you're in. Here in AZ, I see maybe 3 or 4 Civic Si, 1 STi, 2 G37, 5 or 6 GTI, 1 or 2 MS3 in a week. I easily see 12-15 Mustang V6 and that's JUST the 05+ body style. Those numbers don't include cars I see here at the shop.

True. Here in So Cal those cars are a dime a dozen.........but you are correct Mustangs do out number them...

Wait - how can they offer that for about the price of a BRZ??? Isn't the V6 Mustang with track pack and other sport upgrades about $31k? I would think the Roush has those upgrades and then some. No?

The Roush car is probably little more than a Ford track package with Rousch emblems and better tires.
