[Meta] Can we limit conjecture / threads of a wildly speculative nature?

Seems like a lot of threads in here are really, really, REALLY vague.

"Wouldn't it be cool if someone swapped a 20B into a twin? I'm not going to because it would cost a lot, but it'd be cool, right guys?"

"Hi, how do I SR20 swap my ft86? Do I need a new driveshaft?"

"Is it possible to 1UZ swap the ft86? Has anyone thought of this before"

"I've been playing with this idea in my head... why not swap a $20,000 bespoke 2.8L twin-hayabusa derived-V8 into a twin?"

It'd be nice if we could figure out a way to eliminate some of this static.

Maybe some kind of rule against "will this fit" threads? I don't know, we just need to separate the dreamers from people actually working to figure out the intricacies of engine swaps in this platform.

Thoughts?

hi but check out my build putting in a B16 heas with a CRV 20b lower and eagle forged rods and Megan racing aftermarket exhaust manifold because my friend just wrecked his car and he needs money 2 pay rent and i thought it would work because the cars are roughly same in diameter and street cred

will this fit?

No offense but maybe a ban on threads against what threads should be or not permitted.. damn you're contributing to the crap.

SomeoneWhoIsntMe 01-27-2015 12:54 PM

@yomny except for the fact that out of the 32 threads on the first page, ten or so of them have zero content. several are even obvious troll posts, and there's one for sale thread. If I had made a thread about one thread, sure, you'd have a point, but the fact that nearly a third of the threads in here are terrible deserves discussion.

quick question, does anyone know what intake works best?

If only there was a place to discuss these types of issues... Oh wait, there is. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=38 :sigh:

Like i said didn't come here to start anything but just look at where this thread is going, looks familiar? If you wanna clean up, stop littering..you're littering mann! Anyways back to work.

Btw i wanted to know if i should use thread sealant on an oil line?

Alright then, once they delete all the shitty threads in this sub and give a shit about moderating it, they can move this thread to site announcements / questions /issues or lock it.

Why not give someone mod powers to this subforum? Long term, contributing, knowledgeable, and unbiased member?
