BRZ sedan

It's a week old, but I don't think I saw it here.

"Since the BRZ/86 is so popular, it's natural to consider expanding the lineup," he said. "For example, adding a BRZ sedan."

I'd be down to see the Supra make a comeback. Even as a Lexus if need be.

I'd loveeeee to see a sedan :)

Diluting the brand already.....bad news FHI.

There was talk of using an extended version of the platform for the next Lexus IS. Or for the next WRX - depend what direction they go with on that. I'm sure they won't just use the platform for a limited production car. If they do make a sedan, it's going to be compact or subcompact! As long as it stays RWD, they can make a station wagon for all I care - more sport vehicles to market the better for consumers!

Diluting the brand? First Hachi Roku was a Corolla fer cryin' out loud... Can't get much more diluted than that.

when I think BRZ Sedan I think Lexus IS250 ,
if they can keep prices near the 28K range for
a 200HP entry level 4Dr sedan ... I'll be on it if I fail
to buy the BRZ in the coming month or so.

like they can stretch the BRZ for more leg room and slap on 2 more
doors I will buy.

It's too small of a car to make a sedan. It's not like a 328i where it'll still be long as heck as a coupe and still have room in the back. It'll be another round of RnD hell to get this off the ground and I don't think it would be worth it for this car.

I am all for platform sharing. VW made it an art and using the brz chassis to create the new is200 is great (if that is the plan) but extending the "design language" of the brz to a sedan? No thanks?

Allch Chcar 06-08-2012 03:13 PM

That doesn't look like a 'BRZ based sedan' to me.:iono: They are discussing the current gen Camry production . But even if they stop that now they are just going to sell more Legacies and Outbacks.

I'm still waiting for the hatchback rumors.

Most of that article was conjecture by an outside investment consultant who has no affiliation with Subaru/Fuji Heavy or Toyota; unless I missed something in there...
