PRIZEFIGHT: Toyota or Subaru?

I know we can only speculate for now but, which variant do you think will be the better car?

My guess would be a sti version by subaru.

RRnold 10-20-2010 08:52 PM

If it's a Scion then everyone loses! ;) I say Subaru since they kept their ish real and didn't branch off into mulitiple subdivisions.

Xrs-FT86 10-20-2010 08:52 PM

well this car has yet to be even suggested to have an awd counterpart...however I do believe the Subaru version will be better...mainly because they are the designers of the chassis and engine(minus the heads of course). and the likelihood of Subaru having a rwd turbo sti version is greater than toyota having a turbo version.

I'm Subie... but I won't jump on Subie til I see both design & other difference

Right. I totally agree. I have to see what they can do first.

Yeah wayyyy to early to have a prizefight lol...im just getting impatient again but, i am starting to set my sights on the subaru version now

Franisco 10-20-2010 11:40 PM

The way things are sounding we better hope the suby version is good, or this thing may flop..

Matador 10-21-2010 09:01 AM

Looks? They way things have been lately, Toyota believe it or not. Otherwise? What makes you think they are going to be any different?

Franisco 10-22-2010 01:51 AM

I'd say if it comes out as a Scion it has a good chance of never getting FI..but thats just me.

Don't know how ou can say that since they released and option of a supercharger for the last gen tc.... So they could do the same

WingsofWar 10-24-2010 06:11 PM

Since everything is just speculation and based off previous experience with the brands, id go with this based on feeling.

Toyota FR-S GRsports Edition > Subaru FR-S STI > Toyota FR-S > Scion FR-S TRD FI Edition / Subaru FR-S Turbo > Scion FR-S

I meant tc, but you got me there. Something is better than nothing I guess

Well ill go against the grain and say the Toyota will be the better of the 2 which i base on 2 things.. The toyota badged concepts are F#*kn sick and Mr Toyoda loves the car and is working very closely with the engineering crew making it all happen.....
Still silly and way to early to build a solid argument though.........

Xrs-FT86 10-25-2010 01:14 AM

haha I definitely agree with your hierarchy you've got built here!
