What's in your camera bag when you do a car shoot?

I'm a noob photographer, my dad loves photography and he won trophies in his golden age. Just wondering that you guys uses for awesome car shoots.

College kid here don't have the gold for expensive equipment. But I usually have a camera in my car, when I'm too lazy I'll pull out my iPhone. I carry around a T5i with 50mm f/1.4 or a nex-6 with zeiss 12mm f/2.8

How about you guys?

10-20mm wide angle
18-50mm
tripod

I haven't done a shoot yet, but I'll have the 8mm fisheye, 14mm/2.8 and 30mm/1.4 - and if I snag a 24mm, it'll go too. I may bring a pair of flashes and umbrellas + stands (normal flashes, so they can hotshoe mount too - that's a very affordable way to get into lighting) and IR sender for sync. I currently use a 5DII as my primary. And, of course, a tripod and remote trigger.

Detail shots might bring out the 80mm/1.4

The 14mm I have is a great budget piece wide angle that works on a full-frame, but it's manual only. Rokinon. For car work, full manual can work quite well - I've swapped the ground glass in my camera too to help, but if I can, I use liveview or tether.

I love the 10-20 Sigma I have for my 30D, and the 17-50 Tamron (noisy, but I have a good copy and it's superb...) both APS-c, and likely to find their way to a FS board sooner than later since I no longer shoot that body and will be looking to push the 5DII to backup...

Back when I had time to take pics, just a humble T2i and either a Canon 85mm f1.8 or a 30mm f1.4 and my Vanguard tripod.

Nothing wrong with T2i, very good starter. When my dad just started getting back in photography after the digital era he started with T2i then upgraded to 60D. He always tells me it's not about the camera much, more about lens, skills, and sense.

That L is a sweet lens, 1400$ too expensive for my budget.

Yup, it's the person behind the camera and the lens. That's why I never upgraded to full frame...yet. Haha. I really want a 5D3 tho....for the ISO performance.

5D mk3 was never on my wishlist I wanted the new 6D but now ever since I used the sonys, it's A7S if I ever go full frame. Quality are better than the 5D mk3

I haven't kept up with the camera game, so I don't know how the newer full frames are. I remember liking the ISO of the 5D3.

I had a D80, 5D, 5D2, Nex 5n and OMD in the past. I don't fux with big heavy dslrs anymore, never again. Too cumbersome during domestic/international traveling and backpacking that they truly ruin your trip.

Now I keep it light; either in my jeans pocket or an indiscreet Jansport backpack:
Ricoh GR, mini tripod/ballhead, mini clamp/ballhead.

Though...I'd love an RX1 or A7 (both small and light...and FF) ;)
