wow 12k? Good luck, as I have a feeling you are gonna get stiffed hard on this deal. You may get a full refund, but if you have ever signed anything in relation to SHOP X, then you may be legally fucked.
I really hope it works out for you, though. I also hope you drag SHOP X through the mud no matter the outcome, because shit work like that should never be tolerated on a professional level. |
If not, take them to small claims court.
Hope everything works out for you. |
So you're retaining a lawyer, right?

i literally cringed when i saw the estimate. There is no way this shoppe is going to bend over and take it...good thing you are seeking legal representation
|
Good luck man. Sorry you have to deal with this. Let us know how it all turns out. Hopefully it will all be a memory soon enough, and you can flip the place off every time you drive by.

if he is retaining legal aid chances are he has been advised to stop discussing it on the forum. I remember being in a situation with employment issues for my mom and I posted in a local forum in calgary and lawyers told me to stop all conversations that were not with them to protect any information. Which makes sense I guess

now im scared of gitting mine done...
im not in the USA so i dont think i will be able to get those Premier guys to do it.. |

Thanks for your feedback and sympathy everyone!
Wed 6/20/12: I managed to get one of the owners cell phone number (not the guy I have been dealing with). I explained my situation, how at this point I was being ignored and left in the dark. He told me he wanted to stay out of it and have the other guy deal with it to which my response was things need to get started. A few hours later I get a call from his insurance broker and that he was going to open the claim immediately. Thurs 6/21/12: I get a call from the insurance company, we will be scheduling a time for their estimator to take a look at the car. So finally things got started and no legal action needed to be taken, unless the insurance company tries to screw me, but thats a different matter. I feel that one owner was using delay tactics for some reason, but the other knew things needed to get handled. |

Good Luck! |
Any update on this?
Things still going good? Getting the car repaired? |
|
Man, this sucks. I promise there are shops in your area that do quality work; if you look hard enough you'll find someone. I work with a film installer and I can say quite confidently when he installs film you can look as close as you want, anywhere...
Hopefully when this is all said and done someone in your area can take care of you properly. |

omg that is terrible, it's painful to see. Hope everything works out. Damn, you would get shot for sh*t like this in Texas!
|
Oh my dear baby Jesus...
|
Friendly bump, still trying to figure out what ended happening here.
@RiskyTrousers |
Yeah, we need an update!
|
Make sure to tell MotoIQ about this so they don't recommend anyone else to that $#!thole shop! What a terrible situation. If it were me I would be in jail right now for assault and battery.

I'm starting to think we might be getting our chains yanked..... His profile shows last activity today like 6 minutes ago and I even sent a PM asking for more info, so why wouldn't he post an update?

Sorry I haven't updated the story!
After being ****ed around by one of the owners for quite a while I got a hold of the other owner, the guy that actually did the work. I told him things were going nowhere and I needed things to get done. On top of this they still haven't refunded my money. About 3 hours after I got off the phone with him I get a call from his insurance agent who set up a claim. An adjuster came out two days later and I got a check about two weeks after that. A month after their insurance paid out the original charge was still on my credit card! At this point I had no choice but to open a dispute. This process took another month but I finally got that money back. In the end they did eventually make good on their word, but only after lots of effort, headache and pushiness from my part. I'm glad its over and behind me now, rather not think about it because when I do it boils my blood all over again. For people looking to get a clear bra installed, don't be afraid to ask questions! If the installer starts to get irritated or angry, red flag! Ask for references and to see recent work. Ask how they will be cutting the clear bra, even precuts need to be trimmed some time. Most importantly, ask for their insurance policy BEFORE HAND! |
Good to hear. Now time for getting her repaired and looking brand new again ;)
|
You still haven't mentioned which shop it was so other people can avoid it!
|
Anyone looking for a good clear bra installer in So. Cal area (Long Beach vicinity) should call Norbert at Crystal Auto Shield 877-707-4435. He came out to my house and installed Xpel ultimate film on my Raven FR-S. Came out great. Reasonable prices. Film is much more clear than 3m Scotchguard, no orange peel look.
