Calidrifters Firestorm FR-S

**Pics and more updates are soon to come**

Was searching for an Asphalt and read that DCH Toyota Simi Valley had 2 in stock no color description.

There was a Hot Lava M/T and a Firestorm A/T sitting in the showroom. After a long discussion with my GF regarding the truck, traded in my Tacoma, we decided to go with A/T in case I need her to drive somewhere.

Obviously the car is in stock configuration. I'm waiting on registration paperwork to come in so I can put my plates on a car they are actually intended for. They read: CADRFTR.

Quick review:

Got the antenna a day after it was shipped. Processing and shipping wasvery quick, as other members will attest to as some have received their antennas prior to taking delivery of their cars.

The antenna comes packed in a flat rate box surrounded by packing paper and since the box is opened to put in the English instructions they add packing peanuts as well.

The color is matched perfectly on theFR-S and installation is super fast. They include all hardware needed to install on the car.

Quick TIP: Of the three screws included the M5 (middle sized one) is the one that fits the antenna.

I was worried that reception would get worse being that i park in an underground garage. Amazingly reception was still strong on 95% of all my preset stations. The ones that didn't come in strong started coming in once the car was moved and I have not had any issues with reception at all.

Also, mocked up the GrimmSpeed license plate relocator.

**new exhaust is TBD as I want to wait for all companies to release theirs**

Love it! The spoiler is sweet, do you think you could get some more shots of it from like 10-15 feet away? I was thinking about getting that too.

LOL, when I first read about your vanity plate I thought it meant CAD drafter, then I realized it is the same as your name on here:bonk:

Drunknhero 07-08-2012 08:23 PM

So you took the effort to post this rant about the guy's antenna in his build thread...why?
@Calidrifter I like how your car is progressing and the 5AD Spoiler is a great addition to the body. Keep up the nice upgrades to your FR-S.

Lol, yeah the half a space isn't that noticeable but it's my forum name.

I'll go down in a little with my dslr and snap a few pics for you.

I did it in about 45 min. By myself, so on a difficulty scale I would say about a 3 and maybe a 1 if you have an assistant. Hardest part was the damn double sided tape on the spoiler. The backing didn't want to come off.
