NEW Valenti Tail Light colors

Had a chance to take some photos yesterday of the new valenti Tail light color options since there aren't many shots of them out yet! I'll throw some on my car next week for some on car shots. Any weird reflection etc in the photos are just that...these lights look fantastic in person. Trying to decide which set I wanna go with now haha.

LED issues have been FIXED...on these 3 new color options, AND the 4 previous colors. Plus, ordering through an authorized vendor gets you a 1 YEAR WARRANTY.

They are:
Light Blue with chrome
Smoked Lens with Red light bar
Red Lens and White light bar

The red ones make me want to switch from Tom's to those.

cdo221 01-23-2015 02:56 PM

are these DOT legal btw?

Kryptik319 01-23-2015 02:57 PM

I'd like to see some shots of the blue and smoked on a Firestorm. I'm tempted to get these over Tom's if they look good.

KungFuWaffle 01-23-2015 02:59 PM

Wondering how the red lense would look on a whiteout, and wondering if they're updated and won't have led issues.

they aren't DOT legal, but if you are concerned, stick with one of the red or clear lens versions. The "smoked" versions appear fairly dark, but light up quite well...

Follow up question, are you planning to get these Valentis in when they are available?

I'll be throwing each set on my firestorm for more photos probably next week...

Yup, as soon as we get word of actual availability, we'll stock it in our warehouse/get photos of it on car!

I love that there are TONS of lighting options for this car!

That's awesome, it'll really help my decision haha.

Jesse36m3 01-23-2015 03:26 PM

I was holding off on valentis for a looong time because although I loved the style, they didn't have the color combo I wanted.

The red on red = sold.

coeurdencre 01-23-2015 04:33 PM

looks darn good! @HachiRo

Ammunition 01-23-2015 07:09 PM

Do you have images of the blue tinted reverse bar that matched the tail lights? I was interested in that, but all of the images I saw of it are very poor and don't even look like real photos of the car, so it's hard for me to get an idea of what I can actually expect it to look like.

Thanks for the pics!

DarkestBuddha 01-23-2015 07:27 PM

those smoked/red looks so good

I haven't heard anything about Valenti coming out with any new reverse/bumper/rear fog lights.
They only have 4 out right now,
Red & white
Red & red
smoked & white
Orange/Red & chrome

I think it was a collaboration between Valenti and a company called Zero/Sports, or something like that - the blue tinted tail lights looked the same as the ones that you're advertising, but with a matching reverse bar, so I wasn't sure if they were the same or not -

Thanks anyway though - the red tail lights do look nice.

tyrantcf 01-23-2015 08:23 PM

ooooooooooh smoke lens with red light bar. I like.

HachiRo 01-23-2015 08:29 PM

Just a quick disclaimer, it looks slightly smoked, but it's pretty red, which is what I wanted. They already have smoked red ones for sale, but these are Red lens and bar.

haha, proved me wrong real quick! I'm looking into it now!

dnieves 01-24-2015 03:07 AM

Questions:
1. Is a gasket between the lights and the body included?
2. Do these lights suffer from the dreaded condensation issue like the OEM tail lights?
3. What's the deal with the DOT legality? I would assume having after market HIDs would be worse than these (non blacked out) tail lights?

DarkestBuddha 01-24-2015 03:18 AM

can you take a pic in direct sunlight with brakes on.
curious if they changed the LEDs for the brake and turns to make them brighter

Ill do so tomorrow or Sunday if I have time. The brake and turn signals are pretty damn bright. These lens, again, aren't smoked at all. The red body just makes everything look a bit darker, but they're not at all smoked so it's very VERY visible.

1 & 2 Gasket is included. I know there were some issues with condensation when the valenti's first came out a few years ago, but it seems they have learned and fixed up the leaks/condensation problems. The gasket that is included seems pretty thick and "cushy" if you will, and should make a great seal on the tail light to the car.

3. DOT issues...technically you can receive a fix it ticket for non department of transportation lighting, but this is gonna be along the lines of window tint. A risk most people will take. HIDs that are annoyingly bright/aimed incorrectly probably bugs cops more than your red tail lights. YMMV, but anything that is clear or red probably runs a pretty low risk of being pulled over/ticketed. The smoked lens versions are rather bright(running lights and brake lights) despite being tinted/smoked, so hopefully that helps since visibility is the main concern for other traffic/cops.

golfyankee2121 01-24-2015 08:47 AM

For what it's worth, I have the smoked valenti's and they aren't that dark. Don't get me wrong, there are dark, but during the day you can see the light bars pretty clearly. The only thing I would imagine being a little harder to see is the blinker lights, but the running lights and brake lights are easily visible.

qitorr 01-24-2015 09:40 PM

The red look fantastic. Definitely a contender against the red Toms for my favorite on WRB. Any chance someone has or can make a short video showing the break lights and turn signals on it. I too am curious if the red makes those lights any more difficult to see.

1) Yes, and it seems to be a better gasket than OEM.
2) Negative, unless it's a defect or installed wrong.
3) They're E-coded lights, meaning they're likely 100% legal (though this is a bit of a gray area as some states allow them). DOT vs E-code is more important for headlights because of their cutoff.

HID's would be worse in that they don't meet any standards.

They don't need to be changed, they're VERY bright. They don't show up well in photos.
