What does a sequential transmission cost like $40K? Where does all that extra cost come from?

Probably on stickers and decals, those give 10hp each.

Which yet again begs the question: When does an 86 stop being an 86 and not just a bunch of high grade parts in an 86 shaped body?

Plus a badass shifter knob, and a catback exhaust. Also pays one years rent on a guy to sit in the passenger's seat so he can scream orders at you incessantly.

I know there's one sequential for the 86 that's $20k. And it's now not just a bunch of parts, there will have been a lot of thought, research, and testing that went into which parts to use. So now the whole is worth more than just the sum of the individual parts.

It is not a tubular frame under 86 shaped body, it is a real 86 chassis.

What utter nonesens. This car is developed by TMG, not TRD so no TRD stickers. And it is not street legal, so it is a race car.
