J2 Quad Exhaust Questions

For those with J2 Quad exhaust, I have a couple of questions.
How did you guys install to make it not run against heat plate? Longer hangars? Bending the hook so it's lower?
Also, how's overall fitment on the exhaust? All the pics I see make it look like one side always sticks out more than the other.

Looking into getting one soon, but don't wanna jump onto it without being ready/preparing for some install changes lol.

Cheap exhaust = cheap fitment.

Although, I like how it sounded. Be prepared to modify it, I don't think any are any that are the same exact fitment. Mine was touching the rear subframe.

Yeah, the J2's sound great but don't really fit like a glove. I have the dual I'm trying to get rid of for cheap, because they do touch the subframe. Overall though if you really want to just bring it to a muffler shop and they can either bend it or they can put longer hangers.

Would lowering it by bending or putting longer hangars help avoid it touching the subframe or heat plate? Or would it just be too low at that point? I just can't get over the sound and price lol

You could buy another exhaust and have a shop weld some of those trap chambers in it. Should tone down the rasp and deepen the tone.
