The concept was a little ugly. Let's see if they fixed that.

I think we have a nomination for understatement of the year right there...

Just had to leave this here.

In my opinion, "change the face of motoring" sounds far too broad reaching to apply to a small subset of enthusiasts. Smart money is on the T25, and that it doesn't come to the US.

It's going to be Gordon Murray's T.25

Isn't that what they said about the Segway?

Anytime I hear hyperbole like that, I know we are headed for disappointment....

my question is how does EVO know this will be 86 base? sounds like they're just pulling crap out of their @ss.

It depends on how you interpret "build on GT86"...

Slighlty misleading, as some will take that to mean this new car will be based on the same platform, when in reality that phrase is probably only meaning "build on the hype/sucess of releasing a fun, affordable car (the GT86) with another fun, affordable car"...

That's what I'm betting it means, anyway, since pretty much nowhere else said anything about Toyota building on the GT86 in relation to this RND concept.

Here I go!

Hybrid vehicle - a vehicle that uses two or more distinct power source to move and operate the vehicle.

Mustang ecoboost ($30k)
Fisker karma(403hp 959lb-ft of torque, $96k)
Panamera S E-hybrid ($96k)
Benz 2015 E400 ($57k)
Any of the BMW 3,5,7 hybrid are under 100k

All of the above are over 300hp hybrids, that's more than 5

I'm going to take a guess and say the Auri- I mean Scion iM...

If driving something like that is considered "fun to drive" by Toyota then I fear that Toyota and I have vastly different opinions on what constitutes fun.
