Front + rear fog stalk

-work in progress-

Anyone here purchased the turn signal stalk with front+rear fog stalk?

It's not entirely impossible to make it happen

any inputs?

Updates! Sorry as a poor college balancing work school and personal life is pretty crazy.

Some update and Q and A.

Will the orange Rear fog light indicator turn on in the gauge cluster?
sadly no

What about wiring it OEM like in the BRZ Wiring diagram ?
No it doesn't work the USDM BECU won't recognize the rear fog switch. I wouldn't be surprise if the LED on the gauge cluster is missing too. trust me i tried.

What bulb did you use?
I used a 194 bulb,

Why do you need a separate switch module to control the rear fog?
Because OEM uses ground as a signal, The rear fog switch on the stalk will spring back to front fog, thus disconnecting ground,

If the rear fog indicator doesn't work how will i know if it's on or not?
I wired a orange LED to the (switch module) ill probably drill a hole near the HID level switch and hot glue it there.

To those who installed the Stalk this would look familiar, it's almost impossible to find the terminal pins for this so i just striped off some insulation and stuck it in there and zip tied it works for me.
Top row

Yellow - Rear fog (i added this wire)
Black - Ground
White - Front fog

I'll post a DiY when i am 100% finished, still working out some things trying to make it as DIY as possible,
spent way too many hours on this studying the wiring diagram and even got flamed:mad0260:, can't give up now.

been waiting for this

This would be awesome. I had a rear fog on my old A4 and thought it was such a cool feature.

This is excellent! I'll be waiting to see the DIY when you have everything completed.

It has been done, back when the car first came out

Not on the USDM cars. bulb, wiring, fuse, + relay is absent.

Yes, it has been done. People did it themselves. Wiring diagrams ftw

This is looking good, very nice work.

Though, I do have a question. Can't the Techstream modify the rear fog light code within the BECU to allow it to function? I know I can change/add/remove options on my Audi's and VW's with the VAG-COM (adding power mirrors, puddle lights, etc.) that don't exist in the US but exist over in Europe or add in options that came on other VW's or Audi's of the same model. I haven't tried to use the Techstream to figure this out but wasn't sure if you have looked into this.

I thought about that too but i don't have a techstream

Update, i found out from another member that the amber rear for light LED is in the USDM gauge cluster, hence why i haven't written a DIY yet, still studying the wiring diagram to make the indicator light up.
