"Memory" on seat-back tilt?
Is it something I'm doing wrong, or does the tilt of the seat-back not go back to where it was once you tilt it forward to put something in the back? Seems like I'm readjusting the the seat-back angle every time I get into the car after using the backseat.

There is no 'memory' :(
I knew that after checking out pre-prod version. Don't know what they were thinking, but apparently only a few of us use back seats, so people mostly don't care. |
Wow, that seems like a really simple feature to include that wouldn't add much weight/expense to the car. Thanks for the clarification -- guess I'll use the passenger side seat when I throw something in the back seat.

I haven't put anything or anyone in the back seat yet, but this is something I thought about when I was initially adjusting my seat. Hopefully it won't be much of an issue.

Stupid question, but wouldn't the seats need to be electric for them to remember your last seating position?
And not to derail the post, but what do you guys think of the seats so far? I'm just under 500 miles and I'm finding the seats to be pretty uncomfortable so far. I like that they're bolstered, but I'm starting to think they made them too narrow. Or maybe they just needed lumbar support. I'm not very big (6 foot 170 lbs.), but I do have fairly broad shoulders and I'm having a really hard time finding a good position. I have the limited by the way. |
I'm only about 250 miles into the car but I do agree that the bolsters are a bit narrow. Leaning the seat back more than I initially had it helped a bit. I think (hope) after a couple thousand miles I'll get used to it.

On the seats - they are fine by my standards. I'm rather slim, 175 pounds at 5'11" height, and I don't find bolsters an issue. I feel them 'hugging' me, but its sort of like a good lumbar support type of feeling. |
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. I'm hoping it gets better as a large part of why I got the limited was for the better seats, so I really don't want to have to get aftermarket seats—especially with the airbags and the heated seats.

agreed on the "no memory" thing. I put my backpack in the backseat every morning and need to adjust the seatback...every morning...
I really like this car but there are too many things that they didn't consider from a user interface pov...and many of them would not have added weight or complexity |

I like how I can sit back with my head against the headrest and comfortably drive - but the bolsters do hit my shoulders. |

How would this mechanism work? The recline handle basically releases a catch, causing the seat back to spring forward, and when the seat is fully flipped forward it slides forward as well (or not sliding forward in the case of the drivers seat as I recall). How does the seat distinguish between moving the seat out of the way to access the back seat and just adjusting the seatback to a more vertical position? The user input is the same for both. |
