How to install Homelink mirror?

Has anyone seen the instructions on how to do this? I know you buy an adapter when you get the mirror, but I'd like to know what the instructions say about using the adapter? Does the entire headliner come down, etc? I didn't find instructions on Subaru's TechInfo site yet.

Thanks for that, but I'm more curious about the OEM-style installation.

Read and look at pics here

It's almost identical, except you don't have to pop the maplight lens - just stick a screwdriver behind the maplight trim from the sides and pop it out. Stock mirror just rotates off the windshield mount just like in that pic.

Great! Thanks!

Once I get around to ordering the parts I'll do a DIY if one doesn't exist yet.

Sadly, I already installed mine, and didn't have enough time to be taking pictures while at it.

New oem? That's cheap from the prices I've seen.

Looks like some new, some used, and some new old stock
