Best twin build performance wise?
 

Which in your opinions is one of the better/best twin builds for performance for say about 300-350 whp. It has to reliable and cost effective as well.

Which would you say is a particularly good upgrade? Like tires? or aluminum/carbonfiber drive-shaft?

What do you mean by "best?" Cost effective? You can't make that kind of power without spending some money.

I really like what Robispec did to the suspension and have been impressed with what I've seen from Element Tuning. CSG seems to have the most reasonable, well-sorted performance build, with a Jackson SC. All the people with Ptuning kits are happy, but I don't know if they've managed to get enough oil cooling in yet.

With $10,000 ish you can get what you are looking for and make sure you are reliable as well. With $4-6 you can get the power you are looking for.

It really depends on the route that you are going to go for. Either Supercharged or Turbo. In my opinion, if I were to go FI, I would personally go Supercharged.

Use your regional forum to find a reputable tuner in your area, call said reputable tuner with your budget, and then go from there.

Unless you plan to do all installation and tuning on your own, what works for one person may be completely alien to the one working on your car, and can have disastrous repercussions.

Yeah, this is way too vague of a question. I'm going to assume you have a garage full of tools and know exactly how to work on every facet of your car.

-Buy/install a turbo kit and exhaust system. There are plenty; pick your poison.
-Upgrade to coilovers, adjustable control arms, and bigger sway bars. Corner balance and align.
-Upgrade to AP Racing front brakes, Motul RBF fluid, upgraded rear pads
-Remove rear seat, spare tire, and anything else not bolted down when you go to the track for temporary weight reduction
-Lightweight battery, carbon driveshaft and lightened flywheel for permanent weight reduction
-Lightweight 17-18" wheels and sticky tires. Again, pick your poison

Now go to the track, shake it down, and determine what changes need to be made. Adjust suspension, tuning, determine if aero upgrades are needed. Play around with the whole mess until it works. You're likely to spend between $15-20k for a host of modifications that will make your BRZ a well-rounded 350whp machine, if you buy decent stuff and install and adjust it properly yourself. Add more if you need someone else to do it for you.

Just curious, why supercharger?

Supercharger, exhaust, OFT, tires. I'd imagine that would be most bang for your buck. I don't think there is such a thing as a "cost effective" 300+ hp BRZ... You are talking about adding 50-75% of it's stock horse power while also worrying about reliability and quality.

Question: Reliable cost effective way to get 300+ horses to the ground?
