The FR-S looks much faster than it is, which encourages me to drive like an idiot sometimes... which led to me getting pulled over after four beers one evening, which led to me getting a DUI. My insurance is going to skyrocket and I have four vehicles... so paring down to the bare necessities for the next year, then I'll get something even faster. :)

I'm thinking 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 in about a year. AWD so I don't keep drifting corners, plenty of power and handling to have fun and I can still pull my trailer when I need to. That will let me go down to one vehicle so I'll have room in the shop to start building a project something. What that will be I don't know yet.

Sad to see you go. the first sight I saw your car at the voodoo donut meet, I fell in love with a lowered 86. I didn't know anyone there, and you were the first one to say "hey! Don't touch my car.". I hope when the dust settles, we can all be reunited again.

This isn't the end of an era... it's the beginning of one!

Jeeze... that's too bad. It's very discouraging on how we are losing top members recently. Well, whatever it is you do, hopefully you'll be back in a frs or brz someday.

Goodluck.

Best of luck Darren, keep in touch

its quite a depressing feeling seeing someone drive away forever in your car that you loved. but hopefully its to a happy place with someone who will take good care of it.

Are you still going to come to the Sykart meets Darren?

DarrenDriven 01-19-2015 04:32 PM

Yes. I will be at the February meet. I can't believe I had to miss January and I got knocked out of 1st place!

It was a good track day. Lots of people climbed/made the leaderboard.

Maaaaan.... Let me know when you are thinking about the twin and are sad, I can park mine in your garage for a bit and we can pretend it's yours as we modify it more..

It's okay Darren, your doppelganger was there to be knocking on the door of first for the 9hps. I won't let you down. haha Seriously though, thank you Darren for all the contributions to the community. Speed safely bro.

I feel you, bro. Here's a pic of the new owner when I sold my hatch that I owned for almost 14 years, it was pretty surreal. Surprisingly I never missed it that much since, we all move onto bigger and better things.
