I would buy the stock tires over and over again!

Honestly I think the stock tires aren't that bad, sure they chirp a bit and aren't as grippy as the Z1 I had before but I like it. Would it be weird if my tires needs to be replaced and I ask for exact match of pairs of tires?

Anyone on my side? If not feel free to shit on my opinion :)

I am with you!
They didn't pick these tires because it was all they had to chose from.
Nothing happened on this car by chance it was all by choice.

Exactly, I love the stock tires!

if i was going to replace just two tires i would probably get the same tires but if i were replacing all four, they would be different. they arent bad at all but they are very expensive for what they are.

It intrigues me when someone says "the car needs more power". The car is an inanimate object:it doesn't need anything. What the person means is "I want more power". It gets me when someone thinks their wants are the same as everybody else's wants.

Same with tyres.Tyres are a compromise like everything else. If the oem tyres fulfill your requirements for a tyre then they are a good tyre (though as @fatoni says on the pricey side) regardless of other people's opinions.

I have to kill them first. With separate winter tires, the summers last twice as long. Money, will be the biggest factor.

ducky369 01-17-2015 05:39 AM

How much are these tires actually?

Agreed! When the car was about a month old, I parked in front of the hotel waiting for my gf to finish check out procedures and this guy who finished his check out (in his 50s) came up to me was like "nice car" then he start asking how well it runs and stuff as soon as he dropped the question how much horses does it have? It went bad.

Old man: how many horse power does this thing have?
Ducky: just 200
Old man: awwwww, WHAT?!?!? 200 ONLY?!?
Ducky: but it's light, handles well, and fun
Old man: I once had a vette once and that thing had 400hp stock, but it wasn't enough I doubled it. Probably drop like 80k or more in total just to beef it up. You got to beef that thing up man!
-in ducky's mind- you don't know how well and fun this is until you try it.
Ducky: haha yeah I'm a poor college student, can't afford to do that, but it's fun and enough for me right now.
Old man: your car is light but when I had my vette it was light, going through those corners were great, those backroad drives and tracks.

I'm just thinking how light can corvette be when it's already heavy with its engine "beefed up" double its hp.

Muscle heads will always be muscle heads, it's not always about the ponies, 200 is enough, some drivers can't even handle 130hp from a civic, they crash and total. Look at the bad reviews about the beefy 370 compare to other sports car, they have power but just too darn heavy. Look up some Romeo 4c reviews 240hp, 2500 pounds, but still not as fun as a miata as reviewer claims.

Shake my fucking head at muscle heads

^ I like the part where you turned a tyre thread into a HP thread

It's not a tire thread or a hp thread, it's a personal preference and express your opinion thread.

Feel free to drop a discussion that's on your mind and put me on blast if anyone disagree with my opinion

Same with tyres.

In case you missed it I was saying that power, like tyres, is a personal preference.

By the way, I don't know why people keep thinking the stock rims are butt ugly. They looks fine to me. Definitely not as good as rpf1 but better than those Honda and Nissan rims IMO
