Supercharger help

Probably a dumb question but I seached and searched and could not find the answer I was looking for. So I plan on buying the sprintex supercharger. I c they have a kit with and without an intercooler. From what Iv read you don't need to run an intercooler? Is that correct? And my other question is do u need a tune or will it run fine without one? I'm sure with a tune u can probably make more power but if I don't have the money for a tune right away is it better to hold off on the install until I have the money for a tune?

You would need a tune as there will be a significant amount of air being forced into the engine that will throw a CEL. As for intercooler, I believe you don't need one, but it helps heat soaking and top-end power. But i'll let those with the Innovative/Sprintex SCs chime in.

You absolutely need a tune. Intercooler isn't *necessary*, but it increases power.

If you're going to go FI, do it right and get the IC and a custom tune. A half-ass job isn't worth it.
