Quick someone rub my eyes! That torque curve is out of this world!
|
Can you put the comparison with your 4-1 header back up?

But back to the point though, how much does this cost?[/QUOTE]
Header is $1100 OP (required) is $300 Quote:

We just started production today and will post photos of jigs and progress throughout. |

Here you go, you can do it yourself. Make sure you report back with your findings. |

Here is an updated view of all the dyno and posts regarding the Ace Header Type A or Type B 150 250 or 350. Some are for superchargers but no Turbo information yet. Best header reviews for BRZ / FT-86 are still found by searching FT86club.com or google. More information can be found at: http://aceheader.blogspot.tw/ http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88696 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96255 |

Why is the overpipe required? Can you post a pic of the primary merges? I'm assuming these are stainless steel, what grade of steel are they? |

Love these headers, wish they were out (or I knew about them) before I got my first production run nameless header...... |
Lol we really are overly fucking difficult here in the states. All of our systems suck.
THIS IS WHY THE OTHER COUNTRIES ARE WINNING  |
Their overripe is two into one. Look at the picture. The header goes 4 into 2. Then the overpipe goes 2 into 1.

Neat idea. Wonder how long it will take a certain miami area shop to copy this one.

Material is #304 brushed alloy. Info on website. We can also polish but found that the polished doesn't deal as well with heat at the brushed Quote:

Some photos of the production jigs getting ready. Some welds will be done with the robot, but over 70% is still hand welded. Last photo is some test samples for the 4-1 header we were playing with. |

Nice to see something original instead of another stock header copy with a jacked up price.
|
One more question, please. What was the exhaust setup used for the dynos posted in the first post?

We will dyno again with Delicious Stage 2 and post results when we get a chance. Probably won't be for a while as the we're in winter re-build stage and the car is in pieces. |

Interesting design. So this should increase the header pipe length, which should produce a flatter torque curve vs the shorter headers most of the aftermarket employs? The dyno looks a bit funky, but that's what it appears to be doing if I'm reading it right.
Will be interesting to see what kind of results occur with a tune. Peak HP/TQ is nice and all, but I'd rather have a flatter, more predictable torque curve personally, and this looks promising in that regard. |
I really like this.. Something to keep in mind as I'm doing headers sometime in the summer.
|
Sweat Jesus that setup is quite.
|
Does the header(421) come wrapped as it is in the photos?
|
So that dyno is the 4-2-1 header with a tune. That torque "rollercoaster"? is quite horrendous IMO.
The design is impressive; however, the numbers are not. Once again, my opinion. |
@AceHeader-MT: any way to do... local pickup?
I am going back to Taiwan in August and may be interested in picking it up. Can probably ship for others worldwide if paid in advance. Thanks. -alex |
To all you metric lovers, how many kW is this?
Serious note: Curious why no photos of the primary merges. Also dyno graphs that don't start the power and torque at zero are EXTREMELY deceptive in comparisons. Just saying... |

Quote:
A graph starting from zero would show that the roller coaster isn't that crazy. But also that there's a negligible difference with 'Brand X'. In short, meh. |
Quote:
That particular header came off the car after the Tsukuba and Suzuka runs. It's the latest revision of our design so the other un-wrapped versions are slightly different. We didn't want to post photos of inferior parts Production set-up should be finished in a few weeks. After that we'll post better photos of the header, runners and collector |
