Got my answer, thread closed

This got discussed a while back on the frs/BRZ enthusiast Facebook group. If i remember right, 400+ whp on cheap slippery tires hit some water on the freeway then hit a barrier on one side of the freeway, and bounced back to the other and back again to hit the first side. I don't recall what he said he was doing when he hit the water.

Moral of the story, Upgrade brakes and tires when you upgrade the power.

Wow. Not sure I've ever seen one so far gone.

I'd also like to know more about what happened.

He crashed and flammable stuff leaked on hot stuff, pretty simple.

But now I want to know what the question was.

It was just a picture of an FI twin that had caught fire. I wanted to see if anybody knew more about it, and we settled that the fire was caused by a collision. No need to keep the thread open if a mechanical failure wasn't the root cause of the fire.

Whats with all these people recently deleting their original comments lately?

It all started with [EXPLANATION DELETED] then more people started doing it.

It was nothing that could help anyone in the future. If it were something that could help someone in the future I would've left it, but it wasn't, and I'm sure the owner of the car would rather there not be a thread about it.

Would YOU want a thread full of pictures of your wrecked, burnt, forced induction twin for everybody to talk about?

If the fire was caused by a mechanical failure, I'd have left everything posted - but it wasn't.

If I wrecked my car and it resulted in a fiery mess I'd expect a thread full of pictures to surface.
