New Interior Part for Scion FR-S steering wheel (no more SCION emblem)
Just installed this a few days ago, we installed our Toyota emblem upgrade on our 2013 Scion FR-S: Red Emblem for 2013+ Scion FR-S http://hidpowerhouse.com/wp-content/...oseup1-ptd.jpg http://hidpowerhouse.com/wp-content/...oseup2-ptd.jpg http://hidpowerhouse.com/wp-content/...oseup3-ptd.jpg http://hidpowerhouse.com/wp-content/...oseup4-ptd.jpg Black Emblem for 2013+ Scion FR-S http://hidpowerhouse.com/wp-content/...-black-ptd.jpg http://hidpowerhouse.com/wp-content/...-black-ptd.jpg One of our favorite mods (the Scion badge on the airbag is such an eye sore). This is made for the Scion FR-S and fitment is excellent. We went with red, but we also offer the emblem in black and blue as well. We love how the red Toyota emblem matches the rest of the red stitching in the interior. :party0030: More info here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80396 |
Can we perhaps get a side pic?
The pic above makes it look like the emblem cover up sticks out 1/4 off the wheel. |
no offense, but http://viralwtf.com/wp-content/uploa...ng-contest.gif

It's certainly not a Toyota 86 JDM airbag replacement but it's a quick add-on piece that covers up the Scion emblem completely without having to remove the Scion emblem from the airbag. |
Whats the piece made of and how is it attached? I wonder if one of these things is going to end up like a missile heading straight through your head if the airbag deploys.

If the airbag deployed, we doubt Toyota emblem would detach from the Scion emblem. The only way to get the Toyota emblem off is to pry it off or if it comes into contact with another object at great force. If the airbag were to deploy, the cover should be opening upwards and would tear apart away from the center emblem area. This is because the manufacturer would never want the Scion emblem or parts/bits of the Scion emblem to be flying at the driver. |
While I appreciate the attempt this is most certainly not something I would want on my car.
A. Its glossy which, among an entirely matte surrounding, looks tacky and like ass. B. It sticks out like a tit which again looks tacky. Would it be possible to make an emblem that fits more flush (I realize it cant be 100% flush without removing the emblem underneath) and has a matte black background similar to the rest of the steering wheel? |

It's going to be difficult to make the emblem 100% flush because: 1) The factory Scion emblem is affixed to the OEM airbag unit. 2) Removal of the factory Scion emblem requires a fair amount of work, especially removing excess rubber inserts to make the emblem area completely flat. While the Toyota emblem (add-on) may be sticking out a bit, the intention is allow an easy application without removing the factory Scion emblems. Most importantly, it completely covers the factory Scion emblem, which is important when it comes to any emblem upgrade. With the Toyota emblem, it's a simple yet cost effective way to cover the Scion emblem, without having to do custom work or purchase a JDM Toyota 86 airbag. It is possible to make the emblem with a matte finish instead of a gloss surface. We can customize this if there is a demand for a matte finish. Cheers! :D |
I can't believe as a company you're willing to put yourself out there for liability.
Especially since it would (probably) act as a projectile once the airbag rips through the wheel and sends that thick, plastic sticker soaring at your dome. Would not recommend. |
Tough crowd lol

this is temping, i personally like this,
any more pics of it would be great  |
God forbid anyone finds out that you drive a Scion.

This one looks way better, cleaner, thinner, and properly curved.. Just sayin ;)
