Driver side Window button
So the other day I got something out of the passenger side of my car and noticed that the window did not go back up and know the driver side window button will not roll it up. Have any of you had this problem
|
Are there freezing temperatures in your area? Is it cold? There is a video on YouTube that explains how to reset the windows after they are frozen shut. The guys channel is something like nick350? Or something
|
No but I will look into that

Assuming it's the same setup in all the cars, there is a lock button right above the drivers side button for the passenger window.
I evidently hit that somewhere along the way and didn't think to check it right away (actually forgot there was a way to lock the pass. window...) |
They can lose initialization in freezing temps. It is a safety device so you don't force them and screw them up not a fault or issue.
Had it happen yesterday but it is an easy fix to reinitialize. It is all explained in the manual. OH wait! Houston? Probably not the problem but try it anyway and if it doesn't work take in to dealer. |
Press the driver window side button all the way down till the window goes all the way down and clicks then all the way up till it clicks. It resets the window mechanism thing i had the same problem. If it doesnt work when you try it, go look in the issues warenty recalls tbs section someone made a tread in there about it from what I remember.

Happened to me this past week (strangely it didn't ever happen last winter)... Flashing buttons, passenger side wouldn't move from driver door switch, auto-up/down wasn't working...
Reached over, pushed all 3 buttons (2on dr, 1 on pass) down for 10 seconds, pulled up and held for 10 seconds - all better I wasn't sure how long to hold, but no harm in a bit longer, and it obviously worked... Plenty of people on another thread about this were complaining about how crappy the car and this system is, and how annoying it is... Personally, i'd rather a fail-safe device like this that resets like a breaker switch than having it break in the middle of the winter. |

Thanks

Mine did the same thing the other day: -14 Degrees !
I read the manual and tried the procedure they outline. It did not work. The instructions in the manual are apparently for a different failure. So I did as @CatDaddysBBQ says above and it cleared the problem. |
That fixed it thanks

Mine did the same thing about a week ago after temperatures in the mid 20s. I was already taking it in for an oil change at the dealer so I had them check it out. They said the battery was bad.... I wonder if the battery was fine and I just had to try one of these solutions.

Wasn't starting just fine
|
Everything else worked fine except for the windows
