Headlights or HID Problem?
 

So i got a winjet headlights and installed opt7 H7 hid now heres my problem..
theres a loss of light from the right headlight and when im seated i cant see the light because i was expecting it to be like this (last photo)

road is in level and wet coz of the melted snow

any fix for this? :cry::cry:

I feel like there's an aiming issue or a squirrel finder issue

Anyway to fix that?

Adjust the headlights. I'm sure that's a thing on the Winjet headlights. It'll probably look like a dial. Although I'm unsure what the winjet specifically looks like.

My winjets were the same, adjusted them like in the video above but theyre still crappy quality, and thats with the best bulbs I could get.

Have you checked to make sure the bulb is seated properly in the housing? I know it sounds like a noob thing, but it could be the culprit.

Actually come to think of it, that's actually a good point. In my case it wasn't the bulb but the projector was loose inside it's housing. Had to use a screwdriver to pop it back in

They either need adjusting or the bulb isn't seated properly.
Based off the 4th pic, the right side looks seated properly because you can see the cutoff but the left side looks like a combination of both problems.

guys.. i checked everything and then i remembered a video on youtube that said the base of the bulb must be vertical so that its seated properly so i did it and it fix my probs and i adjusted the headlights..
Now the stupid thing is all of a sudden the right hid turned purple, wtf? plus i lost my 10mm socket in the dark :(

So now you'll want to see if the problem is the ballast or the bulb.
You'll want to check the purple bulb on the left ballast to see if the bulb lights up normal. If it does, check the left bulb on the right ballast as well to double check the ballast is bad.
If it's still purple after connecting to the left ballast, then it's probably a bulb issue.

i think im gonna do this tomorrow because its getting really cold outside..
i started looking for a bulb replacement at amzn and i dont know what to get because opt7 has 2 version DC and AC, in case the bulb is the prob.

Did you get it fixed?

I was told by my friend that you should turn the HID on for at least a minute the first time and turning the bulb off/on too quickly can short the bulb. If you mess the bulb up it turns pink.

I got my kit from DDM Tuning. The price is right and they seem to work pretty good so far.
