J2 Quad Question

Does anyone else with a J2 quad have there right side slightly rub on the bumper?

the alignment is not great on these. i pulled mine into place with a large zip heavy duty tie around one hanger. you could also go to a exhaust shop and have them heat up the hangers and tweak it.

Yeah it's not terrible its just that the right side tips are touching the bumper. I don't think it will cause the bumper to melt but I just wanted to make sure if anyone else had this issue.

it could very well make it melt. i would do something about it. i removed the heat shield above my muffler so i could suck it up higher for ground clearance, and if i dont take the spare tire tray out at the track, it will melt. and its not even touching.

I paid a guy at a muffler shop to cut the tips off and extend it, had the hangers pulled down and got another clip holding it to the hanger.

Well, no, but if I did have one that is not straight, here's what I'd do.

Go out to the barn and pull a wire off of a wire tied hay bale.

Loop one end of the wire around the offending tail pipe and the other end around something that is solid.

Pull tight and twist the ends of the wire together to form a loop.

Now, place a screwdriver or something, centered on the wire loop.

Twist (see picture) till the offending tail pipe is straight. Remove screwdriver.

This come-a-long is completely adjustable and reversible.

You may paint or plastic dip it to match your color scheme.

Disclaimer, yes it will rust out in time ...... but not before you total, sell or trade in your car.

Questions ...... ?? .......
