PPE Header

http://www.ppeengineering-onlinestor...-1-1220001.htm

Just came across this header. Looks nice. They said their frs ran a 13.58 @100 mph NA too!

I have the 4-1 race header in my 2zz GE MR2, and all i can say they are amazing, cost an arm and a leg to bring over here due to our weak currency, by for an NA build you shouldnt use anything less.

The quality of the work and the welds is amazing.

That's a pretty smoking deal for a quality header and overpipe.

I have one for sale with an O2 sensor if youre interested.

Shame we can't get these in the UK without stupid shipping costs :mad0259:

Sounds tasty. Makes me reconsider doing a UEL. I wonder what the rest of the exhaust setup is.....

I spoke with Paul over email earlier.

He said it's an Invidia N1 with no resonator or cat. PPE header and overpipe. They have a great reputation in the Miata crowd, and it's the exhaust I was going to buy before I traded my 2006 in on the BRZ.

He also said they are getting ready to release their own 2.5" Cat-back. Cool stuff.

Sounds awesome. I really need to start modding my car. I'm just so indecisive.

I find it strange that the product has been out for so long, yet there's relatively little info on the forums on its gains/characteristics. Instead, it's almost as if most people just rely on the brand name and work they did on other platforms to vouch for the validity of the 86 header.

I'd love to see more owners that have done good baseline/post-install dynos with these to see how it affects the power band. From what I've read, some people say it only moved the dip to a little earlier in the power band.

I'm kind of surprised I haven't heard more about them either. Not only within the 86 community, but I lived in Arizona for 25 years and was into the car scene for about the last 10 that I lived there. Then again, there are a lot of small (yet talented) shops in that Tempe area.

Oh, no. I've heard of PPE - I had their forced induction header for my supercharged Corolla that I owned previous to the 86. And many other folks here have heard or used their products on their platforms as well (Miata, 350Z, Celica) with great success. What I find interesting is their complete lack of... existence on this forum or even on the Facebook group. I wanna buy this header, I just need more justification!

Ah gotchya. Yeah, I'd be interested to hear numbers and testimony too. I wouldn't mind supporting a shop from my home state when it comes time to buy a header.

I'm not a shill for the company or anything, but I'd say the results are pretty impressive.

And the price is also much more reasonable than P&L or Nameless.

Then there is Ptuning who claim 200whp on 93oct, not having to use E85. Waiting to here back from them on price.

nguyen_er 01-08-2015 09:31 PM

Yeah I'm surprised I haven't seen anything about it on the forums at all. Their headers for the Is-f are awesome. It's a pretty damn good deal. But I'm still undecided where I want to go for forced injection. Part of me wants the ptuning turbo kit. Part of me wants a roots style supercharger. The decisions!!!
