Help!!! Air intake problems

Hey guys so today I received the Greddy air intake for my frs today. I installed it and when I was done and started it up it threw a check engine light at me. Could you guys give me some tips on what could be wrong. Thanks for the help!

Sorry for the typos above^^^

Could be any number of things. You need to have the code read before we can tell you anything.

Were you sure to plug everything in correctly? If you forgot to plug in any sensors it'll throw a check engine light as soon as you start the car.

Some of the chain auto parts stores (NAPA, Autozone) used to read codes for free. Call around and see if any of them in your area do that. Reading the code takes less than a minute, and then you'll know what the car thinks is wrong.

The only thing I unplugged was the MAF sensor

That may have done it. Happened on my old car when I had an exhaust installed. They didn't d/c the battery before working on it. I don't know enough about electronics to verify but from my experience but that may have been the culprit?:iono:

Unhook the battery for a few minutes and give it another shot. My Takeda intake (Greddy clone) threw a CEL at first too.

Update: I went to autozone and when they did the code read they said nothing was wrong. When I started my car the CEL light was gone!! Thanks for the help guys!!!
